A Melodic Dream World of Fantasy

4.5/ 5
Blake Lewis-A.D.D. (Audio Day Dream)
American Idol was really looking down at the start of 2006, especially when Chris Daughtry's elimination infuriated over 100,000 fans and had them all boycotting the show. The show went on, however, as it should have, because we wouldn't have had talent in the next year. Which was creatively found within Mr. Blake Lewis. His beatboxing and smooth pop voice was a breath of fresh air within the stalement that Taylor Hicks left behind. Blake's self-esteem and great creativity allowed all the "youngins" to vote for him; but only to get him to 2nd place when he threw the competition in the end, trying to allow Jordin to win so that he would get a better record deal-which he did! "Audio Day Dream" is definately one of the coolest CDs to listen to, and is truly a competitor when it comes to BEST CD OF 2007. The music is fresh. The music sounds so much like a bunch of my favourite artists combined. The CD kicks off with a random intro which is kind of unnecessary, but flows into the single which we mostly know (playing on the Reviewin the World MyPod). Then we get a fresh and sassy beat from "Gots to Get Her", which is a truly stand-out track that the CD produces and invigorates the body with fresh dance tunes. "Know My Name" is next, which features newcomer Lupe Fiasco, who gives it a nice "will.i.am" touch. The song is still quite great though. "How Many Words" comes next, which is also good to listen to, and yet again, freshens up the CD. Followed by "Surrender" and "Hate 2 Love Her" which both sound sort of similar, but still pack a big punch on the CD, "Surrender" being one of my favourite songs. Than comes "Without U", which has a nice tone, but takes some getting used to. After that quiet tune, we jump into "Here's My Hello" and "What'cha Got 2 Lose" which are both 2 of my favourite tracks on the CD because of their upbeat and vibrant tones. Than comes a beatboxer track known as "She's Makin Me Lose It", which is poppy but as one of the most amounts of beatboxing on the disc, making it the best dance song. "BShorty Grabs Mic!" is next, and is the first track to fail in my eyes. The song is all beatbox, but sounds kind of retarded. I'm pretty sure that it is freestyle. The next 2 songs "End of the World" and "1000 Miles" are really good tracks, but thy don't stick into your head. Than finally "I Got U" is a catchy tune which sounds very radio friendly and catchy. Than there's a useless outro. But no one cares for those things.
Overall, this is a FANTASTIC CD- miuns the intro, outro and B SHORTY GRABS MIC! crap.
BEST SONGS: Gots to Get Her, Here's My Hello, Surrender, What'cha Got to Lose, She's Makin Me Lose It

PURE CINEMA GOLD!

5/5
The Golden Compass
In a holiday season where Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter no longer remain supreme-a new legend is born unto this world. THE GOLDEN COMPASS!!! This movie was fantastic and amazingly well done. The visual effects were completely stunning and captivating. The storyline was fantasticly reproduced and duplicated from that of the original novel down to the last detail. This movie was a magnifivent movie for the holidays and will, no doubt, be nominated for one of the BEST MOVIES OF 2007. Being a fan of the books, I've been keen on seeing this, but all the athiest controversey got me worried that the movie would have to water-down the against-government view of the novel, and would make the movie a sketchy, boring movie like the failing Eragon of last holdiay season. The Golden Compass is truly among the ranks of the high fantasy movies, and is definately one to remember !
HIGHLIGHTS: The Golden Compass has seriously become one of my favourite movies. It was visually stunning. It had an amazing plot. It stayed true to the novel. And most of all, it kept me WANTING MORE. Can't wait for the sequel in 2009!
DEFINATELY ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE YEAR, AND ALREADY LISTED AS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES IN DECEMBER!
LOWLIGHTS: *coff* goes the daemon.
The Poll !!!
Futurama Scores Big!

4/5
Futurama: Bender's Big Score
On November 27th, Futurama followed the Family Guy suit and released a straight-to-DVD movie, entitled; Bender's Big Score. The movie is well done, considering we haven't seen the likes of a new Futurama episode in two years, which is cleverly stated at the beggining (in the same way as The Simpsons Movie). Than we get a mix of the original opening and BAM! the show starts with everyone partying, and than something AWFUL happens. But I can't tell you that, you'll have to rent it or buy it yourself. The movie is actually quite good, being exactly as funny as Futurama was when it used to originally air. It stayed true to its original form, with lots of snickers and a few LOL laughs. A lot of characters that had one or a few appearences on the show came back for a cameo, including the Santa Claus, and the mofia-bots. But the difference i found between this movie and The Simpsons Movie and Fanmily Guy's movie is that this one didn't seem like an elongated episode. The Futurama movie had many twits and turns and even had mysteries involved within the plot itself.
HIGHLIGHTS: The movie was very good for a straight-to-DVD movie. It would have done well in the theaters, but maybe it was better this way b/c there wasn't such a high expectation for an AMAZING movie. The movie was overall, funny and witty, which is all a need to have fun on a Friday night. Not to mention the mystery at the end which was mind-blowing!
LOWLIGHTS: The movie had very few, but i felt that there were some really random parts and some random songs added to the movie. The ending could have also ended, but it kept rolling on, which kind of pissed me off, but in the end, it all makes perfect sense.
Overall, the movie was extremely funny and very good. I think it deserves BEST MOVIE IN NOVEMBER !!

Idol Winner Finally Delivers-With Minor Faults

4/5
Brian Melo-Livin' It
This season's winner of Canadian Idol (much to my happiness) has finally released his debut CD-"Livin' It" on November 27th. Suprisingly, this is only 1 week after the Americam Idol's CD, which has been worked on since June, while Brian only had started working on it in September. In two months, he's made a fairly engagind CD, especially for a Canadaian Idol, but is it as good as Eva Avila's debut last year? The first song "Shine" starts off slow, but grows into a more rockish tone, and is actually a very good song for a Canadian Idol. The second song "Back To Me" also does the same thing as the previous song. It grows into a rock song, but starts as a slow, pop beat, and it's better than the first song-this is good news. So far, Brian's voice sounds just like it did on Idol, which is really a great thing. If you live in Canada, you'll know the third song. It's called "All I Ever Wanted" and it is the first single, which is an okay song, it could be a little more catchy. The fourth song "Summertime" follows the same exact pattern as all the songs here, a slow beggining and strong chorus. At this point, i wonder where all the creativity has gone. Where are the ballads? My prayers are than answered with one of my favourite songs by a canadian idol; "I Gave You All My Life", which will make a good single, if he chooses it. The song climaxes in the end, but not in a rockish way, in more of a beautiful way, kind of like Kelly's "Sober". The next song is slower, taking the pace down a notch, but is still pleasant to listen to. Than a faster song kicks in, and takes over the CD. The song Livin' It, is definately going to be the next single, in my eyes. Livin It marks a speed up for the next song, Stay, which actually uses electric guitar and bass gutair in the way they were invented for! Stay is most likely the best rock song among these. The next two songs are okay, and than the second single (confirmed) "She Moves Me" kind of sets the state of Canadian idol-ness, and the CD begins to turn into a cliche. Finally, the last ballad ain't too bad, but is Idol-ish.
Overall, the CD is well-done and is worth buying, but take precautions for some cliche music (for Idols).
BEST SONGS: Shine, Stay, I Gave You All My Life, Summertime, Obvious

"Rocking" Out Loud

4.5/5
OneRepublic
Dreaming Out Loud
OneRepublic had their turn as a puppet on "Timbaland presents: Shock Value", but now, their debut CD is here, and it beats out Timbaland's latest CD. The CD is packed with an amazing track of songs ranging from upbeat tempos like "Tyrant" and slow, impacting ballads such as "Come Home". The CD's main strong point is a mix of these two genres, which is perhaps why it is so ingenious. Personally, i enjoy the CDs vibe because of how amazing Ryan Tedder's (lead) vocals are. Not to mention that the original version of "Apologize" is much more enjoyable than Timbaland's modern mix. The CD has no flaws, except for maybe that it could go a little faster, and get more upbeat at the down points. However, the CD is still highlighted with plenty of radio-friendly songs and emotion-stirking music. Don't be surprosed if you see OneRepublic making plenty of music.
The one thing i noticed with this CD is that it sounds similar to The Fray, making it seem less original. Songs like "Won't Stop" are prime examples of the Fray's style. But sometimes that could be a good thing.
BEST SONGS: Come Home, All We Are, Won't Stop, Tyrant, All Fall Down
What I've Missed
August was an awful month for EVERYTHING, and there was nothing worth recognizing in that month, except for a few movies.
September was a better month, with KT Tunstall's "Drastic Fantastic" hitting shelves. Music was slow, but movies picked up their pace with the hilarious, but very dirty, "Good Luck Chuck" and "Superbad" being the most memorable.
October had a bigger set going, as The Killers' "Sawdust" was leaked onto the net, and it really was a good compilation. Movies were again at their prime with horror flicks like "Saw IV" and "30 Days of Night" being 2 of my favourite movies.
Overall, I didn't really miss much, but the holiday season is a perfect place to restart!
I'M BACK!!!

Certainly Beautiful

Goin out on a happy note, this is the last post.
KT Tunstall-Drastic Fantastic
10/5
With the smash hit "Eye of the Telescope" being quite popular everywhere, KT has a huge fan base. And while i thought the first CD was very artistic but only had one colour, i tended to enjoy her singles. When Hold On came out, i was quite excited of its upbeat sound. The song is a different risk, which made it sink on charts, causing KT to be in the dark in the US and Canada. The fact that KT is simply not an extremely popular artist is a terrible occurence. Drastic Fantastic is anything but DRASTIC. It is by far the best CD i have ever heard. I say that a lot, but after a while...the CD ends on the shelf. Picture Eye to the Telescope as a beautiful painting, made up of one colour. The one you put up on the wall, but hardly look at. Picture Drastic Fantastic as a painting with rainbows of colours that you can't keep your eyes off until you're viciously pried away. But this painting is more beautiful than words can describe. Songs like "Hopeless", "If Only", "Paper Aeroplane", "Beauty of Uncertainty and "Someday Soon" kick you with a package of indepth lyrics and beautiful or catchy beats. Other Songs like "Little Favors", "Hold On", "Funnyman"and "I don't want you now" add a faster beat and make you want to play them again. Every single lyric on this masterpiece sheds light to the oh-so-dim world of music. Kt Tunstall makes Rihanna look like a salesman at Sears, and makes Kelly look like the runner-up of American Idol. The fact that KT is not popular enough to pull number one with this is sad, considering all the little Disney puppets have hit number one. This CD shows how simple the world is, in such a complicated time. And since Drastic Fantastic is KT's comic book life, than this CD is a comic book of what the world is. And a fantasy is what we needed after a summer of meaningless music. And perhaps that's why this CD deserves #1 at the end of the year. The world would be one big masterpiece..if more artists and people could understand that this music is made by a TRUE artist. Although that day will never come, as KT implies, perhaps a fantasy would help...

The Grueling Plot...

With only 12 days until release of The Simpsons Movie, we still have no official word of what the OFFICIAL plot is. According to Groening "I can't imagine people looking in the TV Guide to see what the plot is, you just tune in". Sadly, I usually look in the TV Guide to find out what episode it is t see if it's worth tuning in. Maybe that means the plot is too weak to reveal, meaning everyone may tune in and become disappointed. I really hope this is untrue, but it is just a simple suspicion at the moment and doesn't mean anything right now.
The following plot is discovered;
There is an environmental crisis into which Homer adds.
Notes from the Trailer (Guesses):
- The presdent is involved
- There is a plan to destroy Springfield
- Homer travels the World
- Bart befriends Ned Flanders after being embaressed by Homer; He looks at Ned as a new Father Figure
- Homer gets a pig
-The moral is; Always listen to your wife
- Mr. Burns is somehow involved
Final Plot Guess:
The town of springfield is increasingly growing in pollution rates, causing the city to be looked down on by the rest of the country. When the city tries to block all pollution from happening, it is all-but Homer Simpson who, over-time,, continuously ignores signs and begins to pollute Lake Springfield. This heavy over-pollution causes the president to do the uinimaginable, destroy Springfield in order to lower pollution rates. Miniscule pieces by miniscule pieces, with the help of Montgomery Burns. In a desperate attempt, Homer tries to escape the evil civilians that now want to destroy him to travel to the president of the United States. While Homer is on absence, Bart finds a new father-figure in Ned Flanders, who strongly believes that destroying Springfield is theright desicion to svae the World that god created. This drives Homer and Bart apart.
This is basically what I've pieced together, it seems like WAY too much in one movie, but we'll see on July 27th (or July 26th at 12).

The Rebellion Succeeds!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
5/5
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth in the series, and there are still 2 more to go. Quite discouraging when each movie is 2 and a half hours long and most of the books are at least above 500 pages. Not to mention the characters don't look like they belong in the proper age group. But why is there still that spark inside Harry Potter that keeps fans coming back? There is just that never-ending love that you have. But seriously, it's cause the movies are so god-damn entertaining. The Order of the Phoenix is automatically the best of the five, whether or not if it cut the book in half. It's great because it emotionally grips you in ways unimaginable.
HIGHLIGHTS
HP5 is always grabbing your attention. It is one of the greatest films of the year, with it's fast climax, its vast intensity, it's amazing casting and its towering presece over the previous four. The Half-Blood Prince will have a lot to live up to. The movie is more magical than any other Potter film and indefinitley produces that charisma that has always been there. As for Imelda Stauton (Prof. Umbridge), i bow to you.
LOWLIGHTS:
Like stated before, the characters seem older than they should be, but hey, I can't slow down time to make Emma Watson stay 15, even if her acting is on top all the time.
Final Review: Best Potter film so far, and most fun I've had at the movies this summer.
Hold On to this Beat KT!

Transform into Reality

Transformers
5/5
Well, another great movie in the summer has come to earth, in this Sci-Fi adventure about mechanical robots in an ongoing war against each other in search of the ever-incredible "All-Spark". The movie is about robost from outer space, you would think it would be terribly cheesy and promotionally inventive. Well, it is promotionally inventive, the toys are already out there, and will most likely boom in sales once the kids hit the theatres. But, for the plot they had to work with, the movie was very well done. Whether it was the facts that made it seem believable, or the action that made it intense, or the humor that made it funny, it turned out to be a great movie all-in-all.
HIGHLIGHTS:
This movie was funny, intense, quick-witted and well done. Not only did the effects stand-out, but the robots were believable, a task that is very difficult to do. But when you think about it, what's more realistic, robots in war with each other, or magicians on broomsticks? Well, we'll be the judge of that next week with HP5. But for now, I can say, this is my favourite summer movie so far.
LOWLIGHTS:
1 and only 1 very small lowlight, the battle between megatron and optimus prime was very short, making me believe that they did not put that full effort.
Overall, transformers is a great movie, regardless of that one small lowlight.

Big Girls Write Good Music

Fergie-Big Girls Don't Cry
4/5
Well, fergie has hit her fourth single off her debut "The Dutchess" and finally she releases a single that will be good for a long time. I woul have preffered "Here I Come" as a single, but apparently "Clumsy" will be the next single. So never mind my opinion. Big Girls Don't Cry is a very good song. The lyrics are probably top out of Fergie's CD. Meaning, this would be a good single choice. So tops to Fergie, because she actually wrote a meaningful song and didn't spell anything. So yay!

From the Beggining to now the F4 have risen

An Intense, Wild RIDE!

Surf's Up
4.5/5
Who would have thought that another animated penguin movie would come out. Well, penguins have become the latest thing with kids these days and are really making a lot of money for those who animate 'em. So when I heard of Surf's Up, I figured it would be a crappy copy of Happy Feet.
Boy, Oh Boy, was i wrong! Surf's Up is one of my favourite animated movies ever. It is funny and is basically a spiced up Happy feet with less morals. It's out there for fun. Happy Feet can't hold a candle to this one. The movie is done in a unique documentary form which was really cool watching. It was like an animated reality show.
HIGHLIGHTS
This movie prooves that animated movies don't have to appeal to kids only. This movie was fun to watch and really had a sense of style in many areas. Kids will laugh at the things that are more humorous to them like bathing in glow-worm poo. But if you ask me, this movie would be a lot more fun to see with your friends than to bring your kids.
LOWLIGHTS
It was short. The funnier characters didn't get a lot of screen time either, but that's about it.
In conclusion, Surf's Up is the best animated movie of 2007. Can't wait to see F4-ROTSS, Evan Almighty and Live Free or Die Hard to see which will be the Best Movie of June!
KELLY CLARKSON SUMMER TOUR CANCELLED!
Getting Knocked Up has its highs and lows...

Knocked Up
3.5/5
Well, after getting AMAZING reviews i just had to watch this movie. The problem is, the critics are different from normal people out in the world like me. They look at MEANING, and PLOT. Normal people look at LOTS OF LAUGHS and that's about it. Especially in a movie like this. Well, there are lots of laughs, but there is a problem with them. Me, being a teen would never laugh at these things in front of a certain group of people. If i was watching this with my parents, it wouldn't be as enjoyable because of the raunchy humor that they would look down on me by. You get my point. There are certain movies you can see with your parents...this ain't one of em.
HIGHLIGHTS
This movie is quite funny. It makes you laugh at every turn, whether it's Kristen Wiig (SNL) doing her "penelope" voice that she once used on SNL to show her jealousy. Or the menopas(how do u spell that) that Heigel goes through during many times. I have to say, the best characters are Pete and Debbie- Heigel's sister and brother-in-law. Debbie is funny to watch as she continuously calls Pete a F***ing dipshit (excuse my french) because he doesn't want to protect his kids from Mercury or child malesters (you have to watch it to get it).
LOWLIGHTS
It's long. 2 hours long. That may not seem like the 3 hrs of Pirates 3, but it's bad to stretch a comedy like that. There is lots of swearing and two scenes where sex takes place, although you don't see and organs, you hear a lot of moaning. For some viewers, that is a little disturbing. The content is vulgar, meaning you can only watch it with people like 13 and up. And since you can't watch it with your parents, your stuck with your friends. Fun times, but odd moments.
In the end, Knocked Up is funny, but the intense content leaves me to wonder how movies like this get 5/5...

The Yellowcard can't slow down this band!

Yellowcard-Light Up The Sky (Single)
4/5
YELLOWCARD! I have always been addicted to their music and really am beggining to think that they are the top contender for next months ARTIST OF THE MONTH, but I'm not jumping to anything JUST yet. Yellowcard's new song is not as addictive as its predecessors, but will be...one of those takes a while songs. This new move is a move from Rock to Pop/rock...NICE MOVE! Unlike Bon Jovi, they made a step up and I'm hoping Paper Walls (July 17th) delivers! This song is quite good, do i hope it becomes a big hit!
Jon Bovi is completely LOST!

Bon Jovi-Lost Highway
2/5
I truly hate it when a band goes from pop/rock to something else; especially in this display where Bon Jovi has gone from Pop/Rock to FREAKIN COUNTRY MUSIC! Look, country ain't exactly awful, but at a viewing point, pop/rock is a much popular and better genre. the name "Lost Highway" simply and exactly states where Bon Jovi is right now; on a lost highway in the middle of nowhere (metaphorically speaking). Usually, it would be interesting to see the development of a band, but this is taking one step in the wrong direction. Bon Jovi will have no success with this CD and i seriously advise them to go back to the drawing board and come up with another better CD for next year; that way they won't lose all their fans. I am truly disappointed at them and cannot explain how weird this CD. With Le Ann Rimes singing in the backround, i fell like I'm in some old Sugar shack in the middle of nowhere. Just like a lost highway in the middle of nowhere. Obviously the title wasn't meant to say that "these songs are way off track"-but thats what happens when they are....

Kelly's Better When She's Sober

When you're Avril; You'll Never be gone...

Avril Lavigne-WhenYou're Gone
4/5
Although Avril was predicted to be a one hit wonder; this song sort of hits that. The reason she didn't become a one hit wonder is beacuse when she's gone, you desperately miss avril. With that being said, Avril may not have chosen the best single here- but as a successful artist, you should be able to choose your singles without the record label telling you to pick something else. Since Avril has always been like this, I don't think we'll ever get tired of her music and i litterally think that she will be around for many years to come. Avril stays because of her choices. This song is her choice. Get it?

End of the Month Newsletter!
WOW! GREAT MONTH!
Plus the next AOTM is Kelly Clarkson, cuz her new one is out June 26th.
Movie Review: Sailing the Seas Nice and Smoothly

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
5/5
Although we've had great movies this month, it is Pirates that everyone is truly waiting for. Well...ITS HERE! After watching it on Friday, I was amazed with the astounding effects, amazing fighting sequences, great plot(s), and vicious pirate sleuthing like never before. This film started off basically right where Dead Man's Chest finished, making it easy for fans to understand.
Highlights
Everything. This movie was great. Whether it was the dimension travelling into Davy Jones' locker, the beautiful scenery, the action, the graphics and the many hilarious pirates this is truly the best of its kind and i dare any film maker to try and make a better Disney film.
Lowlights
....
Final Reveiw: Pirates is truly a must see for die hards and for never-before fans. Although you should rent the 2nd before watching this one. The best of all the Pirates.

CD Review: After 5 Years, im Still Back At Your Door

Maroon 5 - It Won't Be Soon Before Long
5/5
Okay, yes! It's finally in my hands, after the LONG five year wait from "Songs About Jane (Another 4.5/5 HIT!)" which came out in 2002. This album had a lot to live up to. Did it? HELL YA (sort of ironic that Artist of the month always gets a great mark)! Maroon 5's new CD may take 2 listens to get used to, but the second listen is surely the most fun you will have. This CD takes you back to the 80's with great tunes and that old classical Bass guitar taking the lead. I wasn't in the 80's (btw). The lyrics are a little less "Let's have wild sex" and a little more emotional. Basically, this is the break-up with Jane and although some are "let's have wild sex" only about 2 are. Is this better than Songs About Jane? Yes, it is. Why? Well, the CD is more or less a risk. Songs About Jane was a very safe CD. What I mean by that is they stayed to one true sound. In this one, they change their sound numerously, hense the riskiness.
If I Never See Your Face Again - This song is a great sart to the CD, infact it intensifes the CD. It makes a powerful beat and is more or less the old Maroon
Makes Me Wonder- We all know this song, it's catchy and great! But after a while, it sorta is the victim of the > >Button.
A Little Of Your Time- This is the sex song. It's catchy enough to be great. In fact it could be a possible single.
Wake Up Call- The next single. It's got to grow on you. But it still is quite good, I really like the lyrics.
Won't Go Home Without You- This is most likely going to be the third single. It's the first slow song on this CD. It's quite good. It is the old Maroon 5.
Nothing Lasts Forever- This song's chorus is actually the line that Adam Levine (lead singer) sang in the Kanye West song "Heard Em Say". This is another slow song, and most likely the best song on the CD. The first listen is mixed.
Can't Stop- This is the first song that you really love ont he first listen. It's very rockish and more or less like a newer Maroon 5. This should be a single.
Goodnight, Goodnight- This, would be the greatest Maroon 5 song ever. It packs so much lyrical power and great beats.
Not Falling Apart- Probably the least favourite of all the songs. It's liek old Maroon 5 and it's a good song, but compared to the CD as a whole, it's not that good.
Kiwi- This would be the last "Lets have wild sex" song. It's catchy and reminds me of true Maroon colour.
Better That We Break- Takes getting used to. But at one point while listening to this CD it will get stuck in your head and remain there.
Back At Your Door- Great Song. Sort of like "Sunday Morning" type of beat, but more active.
This is one of the best CD's of the year. To me, it's tie with Avril for first spot.
Best Songs: 1. Goodnight, Goodnight, 2.Nothing Lasts Forever, 3.Back at your door, 4. can't Stop, 5. If i never see your face again, 6. A Little of your time, 7. Wake Up Call, 8. Kiwi, 9. Better that we break, 10. Won't Go Home Without You, 11. Not Falling Apart, 12. Makes Me Wonder
Movie Review: Ogre Loses Some Colour

Shrek the Third
3.5/5
When Shrek came out back in 2002, the laughs were continuous and the movie had become the most popular animated movie in years, beating out Toy Story. Then, in 2004 when Shrek 2 came out, everyone figured that the movie would suck and ruin the whole idea of Shrek. Luckily, it didn't. Shrek 2 was actually better than the first and introduced the best character in the world; Puss In Boots! Then when Shrek 3 came out, people believed that it would also be amazing. Wrong. Although Shrek the Third is a great movie, it seriously does not live up to its predecessors. Maybe if you never saw the first 2, you would have been delighted and thought it was amazing. Sure, all Shrek movies are great, but at the same time, there's no point in ruining the series for money. This one doesn't ruin the series, but I'm sure the fourth and fifth they've got planned will surely be enough. Maybe its not a matter of ruining the series; individually the movie is quite good. The ideas are out there but dont go that far.
Highlights
Well; the movie does have very good jokes throughout the first half. In fact there are some that you're laughing out loud. The characters also all stayed true to themselves and the personalities weren't changed.
Lowlights
The movie's second half was quite rushed. Also, the movie wasn't as good as the first two.
Final Review: Shrek 3 is good; but not good enough.

Single Review: Catchy Song Will Be this Summer's Hit
Rihanna-Umbrella4/5
Rihanna has another CD coming out. I know crazy! Considering the first one came out in 2005 and the second in 2006. She obviously works hard enough to produce 3 CDs in 3 years. This is her best song yet. Sadly, we all know Rihanna only has 1 good song per CD "Pon De Replay", "SOS" and now "Umbrella". The first listen will turn you off totally, the second listen will have you jumping out of your seat going crazy. Jay-Z does nothing for this song, but the catchiness will make it the summer hit of this year!!!
