Idol Rant; Eliminations

Okay so tonight (as i predicted) Chris Sligh was eliminated from American Idol. Why? Well because he is basically always off tune. Not to sound Rash but he seriously deserved it (second to Sanjaya...ugh). I can't fume about how mad i am that Sanjaya was not eliminated again! As i said, i would start a boycot...well what for? the show is god damn entertaining since the little rascal was in. But at the same time, i seriously think Idol has become a joke. Stephanie Edwards should still be in the top 9. She deserved it! Chris Sligh was a smart choice for the American's to eliminate...but when will we see the end of Sanjaya? Surely people will not vote for him to win!? Will they? Let's hope the best he can do is 8th. Because if Haley falls off the apple tree next week, then the remainder are all amazing (except for Sanjaya obviously). So if Sanjaya is safe next week and the week after we can begin to worry about LaKisha, or Chris R, or Gina, or Blake, or Melinda, or Phil or even Jordin leaving. Sanjaya needs to get out. If not then this show isnt about talent anymore. Wait! It already Isn't!!!
Also i hate to brag but i was right about the bottom 3 and eliminee
:D

CD Review-Timbabland Presents: Shock Value

Alright! A CD i'm actually looking forward to reviewing. Alright so let's get started! Timbaland seems a lttle mysterious and doesn't really like to be alone. This CD has a guest artist on every song. The only thing for me is a big question; can he stand alone and still do well. He wasn't exactly in the spotlight until Nelly Furtado shot the video for "Promiscuous". Ever since, he's been collaborating with the Pussycat Dolls and Justin Timberlake. I'm not sure if i can pin him up as smart for promoting himself or talentless for not being able to come out with a song by himself. The lead single "Give It To Me" is great! But seriously, he only sings 1 verse. Nelly Furtado basically sings the whole song. But as i listen to this CD, I get a goos vibe from most songs. Overall the CD is very well done. But i seriously think Timbaland should become a full time producer and then incorporate his voice on other peoples CD's. This CD is truly powerful, but Timbaland is not...

Best Songs:Scream, One & only, Give it To Me, Release, Bounce

CD Review-Hillary Duff: Dignity

Okay so today I am not reviewing the whole CD. I don't have it in me to take that much time out of my day. From now on I will give you a brief overview of the CD and the top 5 songs.
Hillary seems to be a bit more plain with this CD. OH WAIT! All her other CD's are just as plain. The only difference is that her fanbase is growing up and her singles are below average. So this CD is seriously her worst (not like her first 2 were any better). I have decided to label her as a marketing scheme. Her covers have no creativity (above), she had a greatest hits out after her 2nd CD and, not to mention she has now changed her style of music to the current popularity. She's obviously on a tight contract that resticts her from choosing anything. So what's my point? Well if you listen to this CD you'll hear it! The new beat is exactly what all these kids are obsessed with. You don't change your music style to be popular. This is valid proof she doesn't write her own music.
In conclusion; the cd is an awful compilation that shows off who she truly is: a marketing ploy!
Best Songs: Stranger, Burned, Play With Fire...(nothing else is up to a level i would say as Okay...)

Single Review-PCD: Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)

FINALLY! All the strippers sing! There must be at least five different vocals on this song. Awesome! Too bad this song doesn't live up to the standards of the previous singles. The beat is a little too slow. It sort of drags and the singers don't help it. In fact i think on "The Search for the Next Doll" they sang it better. Well, at least we know why Nicole sings each song. Well at least the others can still do a little jig for us. Oh well! Anyway, the song is ok...

Single Review-Nelly Furtado: All Good Things (Come To An End)

So Nelly Furtado is back again with yet another single. This is the 4th of the North American singles and 8th of total singles around the world. I think it's awesome! Probably one of her best singles ever! After all the "Promiscuous" and "Maneater" craze, she has settled down and showed a new side to her CD. Considering her first 2 singles were the only beats on her whole CD i felt like she was leading people in the wrong direction. This one finally shows the CD and represents who she truly is. Awesome
Final Review: A+

IDOL RANT! - Stephanie Edwards!

WTF! She seriously did not deserve to go home last night. Those frigin Americans do not know how to vote! I am fuming because of this. I will give them one more week, and if Sanjaya doesn't go home (depending on his performance; obv gunna be bad) i will start a boycot against the show! If any of you agree on what i am saying here, comment! The American public ruined this show years ago. There is still some hope...or so we thought...

Goodbye to Stephanie Edwards

American Idol Review-03/20/07

Okay so you're probably wondering why Sanjaya seems to be the person representing this post. Well, each week I will post a review of the performances and post the weirdest pic of the person i think or HOPE will go home. FUN! Let's get started...

Haley Scarnato-Okay so Haley, the one who shouldn't have been in the top 12, actually proved that she was good enough to stay this wekk. Cool! Although the performances after were better, this was still quite fun to watch
B
Chris Richardson-For once i think i actually liked his voice. He's still trying to pose as Timberlake though. But overall not bad.
B+
Stephanie Edwards-This was just average. I think she has to sort of step it up a bit.
B-
Blake Lewis-Awesome. Me being a Blake fan, was really happy. I think everyone likes him, which is awesome. I think he has a good chance of winning.
A+
LaKisha Jones-Well Lakisha is usually amazing, but i wasn't blown away this week. I sort of think that Melinda is drowning her under the personality wave.
B
Phil Stacey-Not good enough. Considering his rate of popularity being very low and him having a very good voice; his time is limited here.
C+
Jordin Sparks-Woah! Move over Melinda and Lakisha! Jordin is seriously one of the best girls here now. If I'm thinking right, she's in the final two. Awesome!
A+
Sanjaya Malakar-WTF!? The girl crying, Sanjaya screaming! this was the worst idol performance to date! UGH! Go away sanjaya (he is singing this song in the above picture).
F-----
Gina Glocksen-Oh Poor Gina. Paint it black is an awesome song and she really didn't do well. I really like Gina though. Too bad Sanjaya seems to beat her in popularity. Hopefully his fans got scared this week.
D+
Chris Sligh-He has seriously lost his power. I don't even remember that he's on the show sometimes. I think his spotlight is broken or something. the peformance was boring too.
C-
Melinda Doolittle-Okay well obviously i don't have to tell you how good she is....
A+
Final Prediction: Elim...Sanjaya
Bottom 3....Sanjaya, Chris S, Gina

Single Review: Christina Aguilera - Candyman

Wow! This is srsly one of the most catchy songs ever. Although it will most likely take time for a first listener to get used to. A flaw in some of X-tina's main singles. It was a very good choice for her. After listening to the cd i was half impressed so i guess this is sort of good for the sales. One of her best yet!

Single Review: Avril Lavigne-Girlfriend

WTF!? I srsly thought this was "Hey mickey". What the hell has happened to Avril Lavigne, right now i can't say anything because i haven't seen the whole CD. Okay looking at the song without Avril Lavigne. It's Fun! It's Catchy! it's Great! But is this what Avril is turning into? A Tomboy to a whore who throws herself out at guys like a piece of meat? I'm pretty sure the new CD will have many different fans.

Final Review: A (as a song-NOT AS AN AVRIL SONG-just as a song)

CD Review: Good Charlotte-Good Morning Revival

Who would have thought that a band wearing make-up, tatoos and piercings everywhere could actually release a meaningful album? Well, Good Charlotte's new release "Good Morning Revival" is a powerhouse of all sorts. Almost every song has good lyrics or strong beats. The CD brings a perfect vibe to the present day industry. So, i will take a deeper look now. Here is a brief review of each song:

1.Good Morning Revival- Well this is basically just an instrumental song. I really have no comment because this would not be considered a track.

2. Misery-Probably going to be a single. I say this because not only do the lyrics work but they also bring this vibe. The song seriously packs a punch. It is a strong vocal and good mesh of beats.

3.The River-The lead single off the CD. That's probably why it's basically the best song. Usually that's not a good sign, but the other songs live up to this. As you all know, this is a great song and i like when M.Shadows sings. That grunge is awesome. Gotta love the guitar too.

4.Dance Floor Anthem-Okay, cheesy love song UGH! But the chorus has an awesome beat and is basically awesome to dance too. The song shoul;d have been called "Breakin' Up" but whatever.

5.Keep Your Hands off My Girl-WTF!? The first time i heard this song i thought it was terrible. I mean their singing in techno. What the Hell!? But i have to say, the beat grows on you. Not a great choice for 2nd single (although they did choose it) but i think it will atract a new audience. that's always good for a band.

6.Victims of Love-I got scared when this one started off techno. I thought that the rest of the CD was going to be like the last song. But it's okay it worked when the guitar was mixed in. The song is also very powerful and i have to say i enjoy the lyrics and beat. I don't think it will be a single because it's sort of an odd song, but it's a possibility.

7.Where Would We Be Now-A slow song. Sort of refreshing after all those up beat songs. So the piano thing is kind of cheesy, but at least the lyrics are good. The chorus reminds me of Coldplay's song "Clocks" when he hits the piano. Sort of scary, yet, sort of risky. This was a good risk.

8.Break Apart Her Heart-Good. More up-beats enter. I'd say a great contender for a single. It's sort of like Pussycat dolls saying they "Don't Need a Man", just it's coming from a boy-band. It's about a woman using a guy. I guess it works with them *COFF* Hillary Duff *COFF*.

9.All Black-This song and the River are probably tied for first place. It's a little emo, i know, but what isn't these days? This brings an awesome beat and lyric. I could see this as a video about a depressed person. Great Song!

10. Beautiful Place-Okay that first string of the guitar sounded like INXS. Sort of weird, but the rest of the song doesn't match with that. Good lyrics but those guitar strings sound intimidating and annoying. I'm not sure if i like this song.

11. Something Else-Getting better. Lyrics on this one are sort of stalker-ish during verses. But the beat doesn't make it seem so. The chorus is cool, it's a little to pop for me but it's good.

12.Broken Hearts Parade-What's with these songs now'a'days about parades? This would probably be a better "Dance Floor Anthem" but then again the Barney techno in the backround is not fun. I'm being serious, in the backround of the chorus it sounds like when the kids of Barney would play woth instruments. Scary. Ugh!

13. March On-I'm glad that the closer is a good song. Good lyrics and no defect in the beat. This is definately the most meaningful song on the CD. I don't think it will be a single but it would be a good choice.

Conclusion:

Well, in the end, i think this is a good cd. Sure, it's not the best CD ever, but so far March has been a flat month so it is leading right now for CD of the month. Here are the top 5 songs off this CD: All Black, The River, March On, Misery & Where Would We Be Now

Final Review: A-
