End of the Month Newsletter!

July has come to a close, which is sort of bitter sweet, we had a lot of great movies this month and a few great musical moments. The Best movie is undecided again this month, with HP5 and The Simpsons Movie both holding outstanding performances. The best CD is clearly Yellowcard's "Paper Walls" which is really addictive and one of my favourite CD's this year. August is another slow CD month, I've decided to make KT Tunstal Artist of the Month, and change September's Artist to Will.i.Am who has a release later in September. KT Tunstall's review will probably be before her release this time around and might be named Best CD of August b/c of it's Sept 3rd release and probably Mid-August leak. But August has 2 releases that I'm looking forward to, so that should make it a little more exhilerating. There are some issues with the Best Movies I'm trying to fix but I can't figure out the problem, I will fix them ASAP. Anyway, their's a new template for this month and i hope i get more posts this month too.

Paper Walls Act Like Concrete

Yellowcard-Paper Walls
4.5/5
Well, as July comes to a close, this is the oonly CD review a have done. That's because all the other CDs this month weren't worth posting cuz they all sucked. All I can tell you is to pick this CD up. It is a great CD that has a very well-rounded tracklist. The lyrics are tremendous and the songs are quite easy to get hooked to. So instead of wasting my time ranting about nonsense you don't need to hear, This is the best CD of July.
Best Songs: Shadows & Regrets, Shrink the World, Five Becomes 4, Keeper, Paper Walls...Lots of Others

The Wait Is Over!

The Simpsons Movie
5/5
After about 10 years of talk of a Simpsons Movie, it's finally here. It took a grueling LONG time to get to this point and for God's sake was it freaking agitating. But don't get your hopes up too much, or you'll get lost in a field of heavy anxiety and will be disappointed with the end product because your mind was so clouded. No, The Simpsons Movie is not the most amazing movie you will ever see. It is more or less a long episode. So it, in purpose, is the Best TV Show Episode you will ever see. The movie is "ROFLicious". It is a very funny comedy that is packed with all sorts of jokes that will yack the funny bones of all ages. The movie is a resemblence of why the TV Show is so successful. But think for a second, aren't you paying to see something that you could have seen on TV? Well, basically, but not really. Homer makes this point at the beggining of the movie, calling you a "sucker" for paying for something you can watch on TV. The only difference is that the plot is different and longer. But in the end, Homer is such a dumbass, who cares what he thinks.
HIGHLIGHTS:
The movie is consistently funny and is definately worth seeing in theatres. Not only that but it has such bold character that it makes everyone laugh. All the characters stick to their ture callings, Marge the worrisome, Bart the Daredevil, Lisa the Skeptic, Maggie the Moody and Homer the Dumbshit. I guarantee you will walk out of the movie theatre happy, and fro die-hard fans, you'll probably go back into line for the next showing.
LOWLIGHTS:
Don't expect too much, or else you will fall into a pit of stalement. Just expect a good time at the theatres.
In the end, The Simpsons Movie is a great addition to this summer's line-up. It is one of the Best Movie's of 07 and probably the Best Comedy in a long time. All I have to say is:
BEST EPISODE EVER!

The Grueling Plot...

With only 12 days until release of The Simpsons Movie, we still have no official word of what the OFFICIAL plot is. According to Groening "I can't imagine people looking in the TV Guide to see what the plot is, you just tune in". Sadly, I usually look in the TV Guide to find out what episode it is t see if it's worth tuning in. Maybe that means the plot is too weak to reveal, meaning everyone may tune in and become disappointed. I really hope this is untrue, but it is just a simple suspicion at the moment and doesn't mean anything right now.

The following plot is discovered;

There is an environmental crisis into which Homer adds.

Notes from the Trailer (Guesses):
- The presdent is involved

- There is a plan to destroy Springfield

- Homer travels the World

- Bart befriends Ned Flanders after being embaressed by Homer; He looks at Ned as a new Father Figure

- Homer gets a pig

-The moral is; Always listen to your wife

- Mr. Burns is somehow involved

Final Plot Guess:

The town of springfield is increasingly growing in pollution rates, causing the city to be looked down on by the rest of the country. When the city tries to block all pollution from happening, it is all-but Homer Simpson who, over-time,, continuously ignores signs and begins to pollute Lake Springfield. This heavy over-pollution causes the president to do the uinimaginable, destroy Springfield in order to lower pollution rates. Miniscule pieces by miniscule pieces, with the help of Montgomery Burns. In a desperate attempt, Homer tries to escape the evil civilians that now want to destroy him to travel to the president of the United States. While Homer is on absence, Bart finds a new father-figure in Ned Flanders, who strongly believes that destroying Springfield is theright desicion to svae the World that god created. This drives Homer and Bart apart.

This is basically what I've pieced together, it seems like WAY too much in one movie, but we'll see on July 27th (or July 26th at 12).

The Rebellion Succeeds!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

5/5

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth in the series, and there are still 2 more to go. Quite discouraging when each movie is 2 and a half hours long and most of the books are at least above 500 pages. Not to mention the characters don't look like they belong in the proper age group. But why is there still that spark inside Harry Potter that keeps fans coming back? There is just that never-ending love that you have. But seriously, it's cause the movies are so god-damn entertaining. The Order of the Phoenix is automatically the best of the five, whether or not if it cut the book in half. It's great because it emotionally grips you in ways unimaginable.

HIGHLIGHTS

HP5 is always grabbing your attention. It is one of the greatest films of the year, with it's fast climax, its vast intensity, it's amazing casting and its towering presece over the previous four. The Half-Blood Prince will have a lot to live up to. The movie is more magical than any other Potter film and indefinitley produces that charisma that has always been there. As for Imelda Stauton (Prof. Umbridge), i bow to you.

LOWLIGHTS:

Like stated before, the characters seem older than they should be, but hey, I can't slow down time to make Emma Watson stay 15, even if her acting is on top all the time.

Final Review: Best Potter film so far, and most fun I've had at the movies this summer.

Hold On to this Beat KT!

Hold On (Single)-KT Tunstall
4.5/5
Well, after much success with her debut CD "Eye to the Telescope" KT Tunstall, is bound to make another hit on the charts. Not just with her upcoming CD, Drastic Fantastic, but with this Single; Hold On. Most likely her best track to date and seriously packs a sweet punch of new catchiness to KT's style. The song is very upbeat and very easy to sing along to. It has such a great feel to it and will make you happy when it appears on the shuffle function on your iPod, which wasn't the case with KT's other music. This song will most likely shoot up the charts just like "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" or "Suddenly I See". She's got another BIG one on her hands, but can she "hold on" with the rest of her CD, od will she let go and flop out...I wait and see.

BEP HIATUS!!!

According to a new rumor, the Black Eyed Peas are on a hiatus until 2010! There has been no official confirmation on this but it seems as if Fergie wants another CD and so do the others, so they each have solo projects in the wait. This news is quite odd considering a CD "From Roots to Fruits" to be released in October, but apparently we might have to wait. This may be a false rumor, but word of a BEP Hiatus has been around for a while, I trukly hope this is untrue, but hope and faith aren't exactly fact.

KT Tunstall-CD Cover (Drastic Fantastic)

This is going to be the cover of KT Tunstall's new CD "Drastic Fantastic" in stores Sept. 18th. She will be taking the place of "Artsist of the month (AOTM)" in September. Posts have been slow lately due to my computer breaking down, but i'm surviving on this laptop i rarely use. Sop sorry for the long wait.
What do you think of the album cover?

Transform into Reality

Transformers

5/5

Well, another great movie in the summer has come to earth, in this Sci-Fi adventure about mechanical robots in an ongoing war against each other in search of the ever-incredible "All-Spark". The movie is about robost from outer space, you would think it would be terribly cheesy and promotionally inventive. Well, it is promotionally inventive, the toys are already out there, and will most likely boom in sales once the kids hit the theatres. But, for the plot they had to work with, the movie was very well done. Whether it was the facts that made it seem believable, or the action that made it intense, or the humor that made it funny, it turned out to be a great movie all-in-all.

HIGHLIGHTS:

This movie was funny, intense, quick-witted and well done. Not only did the effects stand-out, but the robots were believable, a task that is very difficult to do. But when you think about it, what's more realistic, robots in war with each other, or magicians on broomsticks? Well, we'll be the judge of that next week with HP5. But for now, I can say, this is my favourite summer movie so far.

LOWLIGHTS:

1 and only 1 very small lowlight, the battle between megatron and optimus prime was very short, making me believe that they did not put that full effort.

Overall, transformers is a great movie, regardless of that one small lowlight.

Dying Hard was awesome, But living Free is Better!

Live Free or Die Hard
5/5
Well, after a summer packed with sequels, its another one! But seriously, who cares if there a sequel or not, we all watch them anyway. While May was mostly about 3rds, which were pretty good, June was all over the place, with this being the 4th in its series. In my opinion 4 is better than 1, 2, or 3. In most situations. Especially in the Die Hard situation. Die Hard, the original, had always been my favoiurite seeing Alan Rickman as the bad guy, but today, that has all changed! Although Timothy Olyphant was not as purely evil as Alan Rickman, he sure was a good villian. Bruce Willis was at his top game, looking 35 at the age of 50. This movie made you believe it was just part of the series, making it worthy of the best of the 4.
HIGHLIGHTS:
With half of the movie being in an action sequence, you were at the edge of your seat the whole time and the intesity rumbling beneath your feet got you even more exhilerated. The movie was intensley powerful and had you glued the whole time. And with a plot so realistic, it scares youb to think it might happen in real life.
Live Free or Die Hard is one of the best movies this year. It was so good, i didn;t bother with LOWLIGHTS
