The Grueling Plot...

With only 12 days until release of The Simpsons Movie, we still have no official word of what the OFFICIAL plot is. According to Groening "I can't imagine people looking in the TV Guide to see what the plot is, you just tune in". Sadly, I usually look in the TV Guide to find out what episode it is t see if it's worth tuning in. Maybe that means the plot is too weak to reveal, meaning everyone may tune in and become disappointed. I really hope this is untrue, but it is just a simple suspicion at the moment and doesn't mean anything right now.
The following plot is discovered;
There is an environmental crisis into which Homer adds.
Notes from the Trailer (Guesses):
- The presdent is involved
- There is a plan to destroy Springfield
- Homer travels the World
- Bart befriends Ned Flanders after being embaressed by Homer; He looks at Ned as a new Father Figure
- Homer gets a pig
-The moral is; Always listen to your wife
- Mr. Burns is somehow involved
Final Plot Guess:
The town of springfield is increasingly growing in pollution rates, causing the city to be looked down on by the rest of the country. When the city tries to block all pollution from happening, it is all-but Homer Simpson who, over-time,, continuously ignores signs and begins to pollute Lake Springfield. This heavy over-pollution causes the president to do the uinimaginable, destroy Springfield in order to lower pollution rates. Miniscule pieces by miniscule pieces, with the help of Montgomery Burns. In a desperate attempt, Homer tries to escape the evil civilians that now want to destroy him to travel to the president of the United States. While Homer is on absence, Bart finds a new father-figure in Ned Flanders, who strongly believes that destroying Springfield is theright desicion to svae the World that god created. This drives Homer and Bart apart.
This is basically what I've pieced together, it seems like WAY too much in one movie, but we'll see on July 27th (or July 26th at 12).

The Rebellion Succeeds!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
5/5
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth in the series, and there are still 2 more to go. Quite discouraging when each movie is 2 and a half hours long and most of the books are at least above 500 pages. Not to mention the characters don't look like they belong in the proper age group. But why is there still that spark inside Harry Potter that keeps fans coming back? There is just that never-ending love that you have. But seriously, it's cause the movies are so god-damn entertaining. The Order of the Phoenix is automatically the best of the five, whether or not if it cut the book in half. It's great because it emotionally grips you in ways unimaginable.
HIGHLIGHTS
HP5 is always grabbing your attention. It is one of the greatest films of the year, with it's fast climax, its vast intensity, it's amazing casting and its towering presece over the previous four. The Half-Blood Prince will have a lot to live up to. The movie is more magical than any other Potter film and indefinitley produces that charisma that has always been there. As for Imelda Stauton (Prof. Umbridge), i bow to you.
LOWLIGHTS:
Like stated before, the characters seem older than they should be, but hey, I can't slow down time to make Emma Watson stay 15, even if her acting is on top all the time.
Final Review: Best Potter film so far, and most fun I've had at the movies this summer.

Transform into Reality

Transformers
5/5
Well, another great movie in the summer has come to earth, in this Sci-Fi adventure about mechanical robots in an ongoing war against each other in search of the ever-incredible "All-Spark". The movie is about robost from outer space, you would think it would be terribly cheesy and promotionally inventive. Well, it is promotionally inventive, the toys are already out there, and will most likely boom in sales once the kids hit the theatres. But, for the plot they had to work with, the movie was very well done. Whether it was the facts that made it seem believable, or the action that made it intense, or the humor that made it funny, it turned out to be a great movie all-in-all.
HIGHLIGHTS:
This movie was funny, intense, quick-witted and well done. Not only did the effects stand-out, but the robots were believable, a task that is very difficult to do. But when you think about it, what's more realistic, robots in war with each other, or magicians on broomsticks? Well, we'll be the judge of that next week with HP5. But for now, I can say, this is my favourite summer movie so far.
LOWLIGHTS:
1 and only 1 very small lowlight, the battle between megatron and optimus prime was very short, making me believe that they did not put that full effort.
Overall, transformers is a great movie, regardless of that one small lowlight.
