CD Review: A long wait for a long wait...

Linkin Park- Minutes to Midnight

2.5/5

Long time no see; all of a sudden Linkin Park comes back after a 4 year waiting period with a measley 12 tracks and an album that takes a long time to get used to. This first time you listen to it you wish it wasn't the CD. The second time, you declare that it's "okay". The third time, you begin to get used to it, but only a few songs. The fourth time, you finally like it. That's just not good enough. People will quickly deny this CD and put it on the back shelf after listening to it twice and thinking its just okay. Sure, the die hard fans will convince themselves that its a great CD and it's catchy. But that's only because they have to re-assure themselves that their fave band is still doing good. Although some tracks have you bopping your head, others have you falling asleep and some have u pressing the > > (Fast Forward) button on your CD player continuously (reminds me of Year Zero-NIN). So after waiting 4 years, the climax drops to failure and then grows again. But after such a long wait what non-die hard fan would want to wait another 4 listens?

Best Songs: Bleed It Out, Leave Out All the Rest, What I've Done,Given Up
