First Ever Movie Review: Web-Slinger Lands On The Tallest Of Buildings

Spider-Man 3

4.5/5

Caution; Minor Spoilers may be ahead!!!

When Spider-Man was released in 2002, the market of Superhero movies was at an all time high. Although Batman and Superman had franchises before, they were no match for the great Spider-Man. The first film branched off into a movie franchise in which has broken worldwide box office records with each release. "Spider-Man 3" has already grossed 350$ million worldwide in one weekend, with predictions of box office breakthrough by the end of May. Spider-Man has made his mark, but is it rubbing off?

High-Points

Almost everything in this movie is something to shout about. Whether it's the awesome graphics that bring the action sequences, Sandman, and Venom to life or the different sides that we see of Peter Parker; Spider-Man 3 is the best of its franchise. The movie is also quite a difference to the others, since the bad guys actually have somethinbg to fight for (in this case; revenge) instead of just wanting to "Kill Spider-Man" for no reason (Green Goblin) or to take over the city (Dr. Octopus). Not only that but Sandman has a quite unique story of his own on the side. He has a daughter who has cancer, and is trying to steal money for her medication while on the run as an escaped convict and the "Sandman". The movie has amazing effects and is worth claiming the title of best Superhero Movie ever.

Low-Points

The only low-point of the movie is the corny lines. Like "Am I interrupting"(Harry whike trying to fight off Sandman and get Peter's attention), or "I Forgive You" (When Peter and Sandman have an intimate converstion about Uncle Ben's death). But besides that, I see no other flaws.

I reccomend that you check out this movie for sure. You won't be dissapointed by the webslinging hero at all.
